Oh, the Irony

Had a little mishap with the espresso maker this a.m. I bumbled around early and put on workout clothes, you know, with the intent of actually "working out." In a moment of wifely-love, I started the cappucino--ground the coffee, tamped it down, switched it on--then left it for hubby to find when he stepped out of the shower. Still sleepy, I hit the pavement for not exactly a run, maybe more like a plod.

Anyhoo, I came home to a lecture. Something about never being allowed near the espresso maker again (Missy!). Seems I forgot to add water (oops). But, egads, of course I messed up--I hadn't had my coffee yet.

Sort of a chicken and egg thing, don't you think? I mean, really. What did come first--coffee or wakefulness?

That sounds like something that I could have done ;-)
Sometimes I`m a bit lazy & since I don`t own an espresso maker (well I do, but not a functioning one), I use an electric kettle and instant coffee to make cappuchino or latte. Once, I put the electric kettle on and then poured the hot water over the instant coffe - only I hadn`t actually remembered to put it on. Fortunately, it didn`t look the way it should & I realized why and didn`t taste it :-)

By the way, thank you for visiting my blog! I was really excited when I found yours - I love to read & write and I`m looking forward to follow you on your way to becoming a publish author!

I hope you don`t mind if I put you on my favourites list? I want to make sure I`ll find my way back here :-)

Take care!

Wow...I began posting a comment to this HOURS ago, but got sidelined BIGTIME, lol! I did this just last week with our coffee maker (not the first time), but I set ours the night before so it'll be ready first thing in the morning. In my sleepy stupor, when the pot was empty (b/c I forgot the water), my reaction was delayed...first, I thought "How did Tad already drink the whole pot??!" and then I realized the truth....and growled rather loudly while I added water, then waited on the brew....

You still get credit for trying in my book!

Do they make a patch for caffeine addiction?

Oh, Julie! You always make me feel slightly LESS scattered, when I hear your stories. LOL!

Yesterday I got all dressed and prepared for a Thursday interview, and just before leaving the house, realized that it wasn't Thursday. The day was WEDNESDAY. The interview was still a day away on Thursday. Sigh. You'd think I'd catch on to what day of the week it was sometime before lunchtime.

Honestly, those brain cells seem to shrivel more each day.
