Sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sun...

Took this picture a few days ago after a long day of writing and mothering. (This is sunset on the west coast. Visited the east coast once and was awed by sunrises that looked like this. Hm...may have to write about that some day...)

Anyway, Once I get on a roll, it's tough to tear me away from the computer screen (unless it's for things I have to do, such as pick up kids, groceries, etcetera...)

I make myself do it, though, not only because the body needs a break, but because of my readers who'll spot fatigue on the page if I'm not careful.

I wrote about one of my de-stressing breaks--beachcombing--for the Examiner, and if you'd like to read that article, you can find it by clicking HERE.

How about you? Do you make yourself take a break? I mean an out-of-the-house, if weather permits, fresh air break? Where do you go? What do you do?

Here's to working hard--yet taking great breaks. Have a beachy day, my friends--wherever you are ;)

A good walk around the block is a great break to clear the head!

I have to say, there is nothing like a good Pacific sunset! I live on the east and have spent time along the Atlantic ocean and it's so much harder to catch a sunrise so I'd take a sunset anyday!

Enjoy your breaks!

That's true about catching those sunrises, isn't it Sue? I did that on vacation in Nag's Head years ago, just so I could say so ;)

Julie, a friend of mine just lent me a copy of Truffles By the Sea because she liked it so much. I'm finally reading it (about halfway through) and I just thought I'd tell you that I love Gaby! And Iris is some kinda crazy;)

Oh and I forgot to add, there was a serious small-world moment when she told me the name of the book she'd liked so much. I was like "I KNOW that author!" Lol.
