What are you reading?

Aside from all the writing and editing still to do, I'm reading a couple of books. I've got a cool new purse that's big enough to slip a paperback in, so yesterday while I waited at the car repair, I got sucked into a story and had trouble shutting the book when it was time to leave. That story is The Face by Angela Hunt.

I've also got an open copy of Marley & Me by John Grogan on my nightstand. And I'm loving that too.

And last week I finished up Patti Hill's amazing The Queen of Sleepy Eye.

Pretty soon I'll turn the last pages of these books, and I need some ideas. Since I'm deep into writing my fourth book, I'll need some fairly light entertainment for when my mind is fried from being in front of the computer all day. So go on, send me some suggestions...

My parents gave me a Kindle for Christmas and I've downloaded a whole bunch of free (public domain) books. So I'm catching up on the classics I never read. Right now I'm reading the complete Sherlock Holmes, some old sci-fi stuff, and some F. Scott Fitzgerald short stories. I also just started reading Kiss by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy and I'm already hooked.

I'm reading Ted Dekker's YA CIRCLE series. It's pretty good. On book three. It's a bit slower than the first two, but good nonetheless.

I mean, it's TED DEKKER! LOL. Next on the list is his HOUSE, which he wrote with Frank Peretti.

Yeah, they are two of my favs, can you tell? **smile**

Happy Friday!

I just closed on two books, Thousand Splendid Suns and Savannah by the Sea. Right now I am reading Every Good and Perfect Gift (which you have read) and I am so sucked in that I can't pick up another book. Next on my list is Loving Frank by Nancy Horan for bookclub!!

Happy reading and writing!!

Great way to read the classics, Jana. Kudos. And Lynn I've never read Dekker, but think I'll have to wait until the sun sets later--heard that I shouldn't read him in the dark, Lol...

Every Good & Perfect Gift will make you cry, Ronel. Be warned ...:)

I am just about to finish reading The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen. It's a really good book. I have never read a historical novel before, but this may well be the first of many. I also have The Queen of Sleepy Eye. I haven't read it yet, but I will soon.

The Queen of Sleepy Eye was good. I can't remember if you have read The Stand In Groom by Kaye Dacus yet. If you haven't it is so good. :)

I would recommend Roxanne Henke, On a Someday. Also the new series of Yada Yada by Neta Jackson. I cannot think of the title.

I'm reading The Red Siren right now which is good fun.

Not Christian (but clean) but a book I absolutely loved that I recently read was Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford.
