waterlogged

Elementary Girl's been keeping me busy these days with trips to Grandma and Grandpa's pool, the local water park, and yesterday, I bought a slip 'n' slide. Remember those? This one's cool with an inflatable landing surface and adjustable water spouts. The one I had growing up provided zero softness, but enough speed to slide me right into one of our rusty sprinkler heads. Tetanus anyone? Lol...yow-zah

Yesterday, June gloom hovered over my morning, but today, the sun's been shining since dawn. Love days like this. Makes me feel like more'll get done, or then again, maybe nothing at all...

Still working away on the great american novel :), and really enjoying this story--especially the romantic thread (be still, my heart). Last night I caught part of the Bachelorette and thought, "You think that's romance? That's nothing compared to my Josh!" (Josh is the hero in my next book ;))

Ah well...off to take advantage of the sun while it lasts in our fog prone section of CA. Have a beachy day, my friends!

Ahhh...I miss those fog-covered mornings on the central coast! Did you know a foggy summer morning in SLO smells completely different than a foggy morning in Ventura?

Funny, I always liked the foggy mornings because I could get stuff done in the morning (before the sunshine started calling me to the beach, downtown, out for lunch...).

We're inland enough here that we have more sunny mornings than foggy and I was appreciating our overcast this morning--partly because it will help keep the temps below 90!

Enjoy your sunny morning!

It is going to be an amazing day in San Diego, too. It was 70 degrees at 8am... got to love Southern California.

I am addicted to this season of the Bachelorette and I can't wait to see who she picks... I am pulling for Jesse.

I can't wait to read your new series!!

Have a great day!!

Those are always the best books - when you can tell the writer fell in love with the characters.

I've been recovering from gall bladder surgery - trying to catch up on a few blogs now!
