See you on the tour, Ramiele.
Loved Jesus week by the way :) Seriously, I'm sitting here re-watching Tuesday night's show and both David A. and Jason sang songs that referenced Jesus in a big way. Then on Wednesday night's show, guest band The Clarks (I think that's their name) Country-Rocked This Little Light of Mine (who even knew that was possible???) and then Dolly Parton knocked out Jesus and Gravity (with a full-on Gospel choir in the background). Whew and Halleulia--love this show :)

The Christian faith just seems to fit naturally with a country theme, and Dolly certainly didn't hold back. How refreshing to see that on Idol!
And all this from the network that brings you The Simpsons and Family Guy. Go figure.
Hey, I was finally right - Ramiele left! Hubby and I thought she just never connected with the songs she sang. It was like watching someone who doesn't speak English sing in English. The words were there, but they didn't connect with her brain, you know?
A gazillion hits, huh?
I come here every thursday now to get the scoop-- which is cheating, because we haven't even had the singing show much less the elimination. Thanks for your idol posts :-)
I loved David A.'s performance. Gave me goosebumps. And he definitely connected with the song. Did you catch what Dolly P. said about him? Big star. BIG star. I think so too, but I think, just maybe he had a couple weeks there where it was all going to his young head.
Not surprised by Ramiele.
What happened with Brooke? I tuned in late on Tuesday and missed her performance. She should have been in her element
Becky
Hey Becky,
Brooke sounded good to me the other night, but she looked tense as she played her guitar with an ensemble. Then Simon told her the song wasn't good, and that she rushed it, so maybe that's why. As for David A, I think he's still 'pure', but perhaps getting too much advice from the outside (I've read that). Dolly did seem to have a soft spot for him, though (as do I :)!
Aw, I love the The Clarks. I was friends with them back when I lived in Nashville. Ashley, the lead singer, is a killer songwriter.
