Why self-publishing is growing...

Haha--my agent sent this, but just to be clear, my editor's not like this ;0

I am with the 'editor' on this one...or not, but I don't think I have every read a detective novel where it is the main character who is the one who dies...or did I? Actually, I may have seen a movie where they did that...or maybe I didn't. Ignore this...obviously no one would do this, but it would be cool to have the main character solve his own murder before he is murdered...or maybe he wouldn't be dead...or maybe he would. Then as the story moves forward...or maybe backwards...no, maybe when it stands still, he could reveal the crime by some unusual means...no, make that the usual means...but we would never want to do that...or would we?

Julie! This is so hilarious!!! Publishing makes my head spin. I feel like they're always like, Okay, give us a book about sisterhood! Sisterhood is hot! And then a few weeks later they're like, Oh, heavens. Not another sisterhood book. It's so tired.
